Cross Country

Carleton House Preparatory School is proud to be an active participant in cross country events, fostering both physical endurance and a love for outdoor sports. Our cross country programme offers pupils the chance to compete in exciting and challenging races, all while developing resilience, determination, and team spirit.

Each week, pupils have the opportunity to attend lunchtime training sessions at Calderstones Park, led by our dedicated PE lead, Mr Griffies, along with supporting staff. These sessions focus on building stamina, improving running techniques, and preparing pupils for competitive cross country events. The beautiful surroundings of Calderstones Park offer the perfect setting for our pupils to train and enjoy the outdoors.

We are proud to be part of the Liverpool and District Catholic Schools Association (LDCSA), which provides opportunities for Catholic schools in Liverpool and its surrounding areas to participate in a wide range of activities, including competitive sports. The LDCSA promotes both sporting excellence and community spirit, giving pupils the chance to represent their school in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Through our participation in LDCSA cross country events, Carleton House pupils not only develop athletic skills but also experience the camaraderie and sportsmanship that comes with representing their school at local competitions.
