Our Lady of the Annunciation Bishop Eton

Carleton House Preparatory School is in the parish of Our Lady of the Annunciation Bishop Eton, situated very close to our school. Father Tim regularly visits our school and shares Freddie Freckles stories with our children. He also celebrates mass with us in school throughout the year and supports our children with their Sacramental preparation.

Our school community enjoy celebrating our annual Christmas Collective Worship in church.

What’s in a Name

Our Lady of the Annunciation is the name of our parish and church. Bishop Eton is the name of the adjoining house and is the home of the Redemptorist Fathers and Brothers who serve our parish.

Who We Are

We are a Roman Catholic parish served by the Redemptorist Fathers and Brothers in Childwall, a residential suburb of Liverpool. We have a Catholic population of around 2000 and a Sunday attendance of just under 1000.

Our church is open all day for private prayer, as well as services. Many people come to visit the Shrine to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour. So if you are in the area, why not call in? We are only about three minutes from the Liverpool end of the M62.

What we aim to be

Our dependence on God and his chosen dependence on us is at the heart of what we aim to be: a community of worship, strong in the Gospel values which unite us in fellowship and outreach.

We have a special concern for those among us who are bereaved or lack immediate family support, and strong commitment to solidarity with the poor, both at home and in the developing nations.
