Teachers and Staff

Carleton House is served by a first-rate, dedicated team of teaching and non-teaching staff, led by Head Teacher, Mrs Anne Daniels, Deputy Head Teacher Upper School, Mrs Fiona Mintz and Deputy Head Teacher Lower School, Mrs Jenny Kelly.

Teachers

Mrs Danielle Griffies teaches Foundation Stage 1/Nursery. She joined the staff in September 2007 having worked previously with pre-school children in a private sector Nursery.

Miss Laura Bimson teaches Reception. She joined the staff in September 2011 and has BA Hons with QTS with two years experience in Early Years.

Mrs Frances Mould teaches Year 1. She has been on the staff since September 2005. Mrs Mould is Co-ordinator for Religious Education.

Mr. Craig Griffies teaches Year 2. He joined the school in September 2006. Mr. Griffies is Co-ordinator for PE .

Mr. Simon Witter teaches Year 3. He joined the staff in the Autumn Term 2008 and is Co-ordinator for ICT.

Miss Julie Barclay teaches Year 4. She joined the staff in September 2004. She taught previously in a Pupil Referral Unit in Liverpool. Miss Barclay is Co-ordinator for Maths.

Mrs. Jenny Kelly teaches Year 5. She joined the staff in 1989. Mrs. Kelly is the Co-ordinator for Science and is Deputy Head Teacher Lower school. She is also responsible for professional development, school visits and is Primary Links teacher (LSSP).

Mrs. Fiona Mintz teaches Year 6. She has been on the staff since April 1996 and is Deputy Head Teacher Upper school. She is the English Co-ordinator together with PSHE/Citizenship.

Mrs. Anne Daniels is Headteacher who joined in September 2011 bringing nine years experience in the independent school sector. She has an MA in Education Leadership and Management and a BA Hons with PGCE.

Mrs Stacey Clayson

Mrs Sue Bennett Nursery Nurse, is a qualified teacher with BA and PGCE in Early Years.

Mrs Gemma Murray is a well qualified Teaching Assistant with an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education.

Mrs Helena Watson is a qualified teacher with BA Hons and PGCE and brings specialist skills in English.

Mrs Julia Metcalf is a Teaching Assistant who brings experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant specialising in Maths.

Part Time/Peripatetic Teachers

Mrs Gill Harris is a peripatetic Music teacher who teaches throughout the school, is Music Co-ordinator, teaches piano and also has responsibility for the school choir.

Mr. John Whitehead and Miss Anna Boggon are peripatetic teachers who teach Guitar and Woodwind respectively. Ballet/infant dance is taught by Mrs Alison Caldwell

Senora Paz Cachoa Spanish national has taught for many years. Joining us in September 2011 she is a language specialist assistant in primary schools.

Mr Mark Turner teaches Spanish and Latin clubs.

Support Staff

Administration Manager - Mrs Anne Johnson joined in September 2011 and brings a wealth of experience from the public and voluntary sectors.

School Clerk - Mrs Julie Smith

Out of Hours Club/After School

Miss Viv Page and Emma Hughes. Emma joined in September 2011 with privious experience in the independent school sector and has the Advanced Diploma in childcare and education.
